The Month after our September Launch,
Has been both a celebratory and a hectic one. For the month of September, we've received a large amount of submissions from creatives on an international platform which truly boosted the team's morale as it ultimately feeds our mission of "nurturing a younger generation of creatives". It reassures the team at SOUL that our work has not only gone unnoticed but truly holds a bit of inspiration to those around us. With 11.7k viewers-- many thanks to those who contributed to that number-- our goal for this month is simple: double that number and continue to inspire those to remain true to their artistic roots. 11.7k viewers is by far more than either of us could have ever imagined for the first month and it is important to us that we acknowledge the viewers who continue to show support and our new team of writers who have aided us in large magnitudes. This month has brought the team at SOUL many opportunities that could not have been possible without many of you and for that, we send you our greatest thanks.
In October, the team at SOUL has decided to reflect back on our very first fashion month together. With this concept and mission statement, the theme of "New Faces of Fashion Month" was conceived with the purpose of emulating the essence of individuality and fresh presences. Our October editorials showcase four very cutting edge and diverse models that have recently informed the fashion community of their permanent attendance. Bringing their unique personalities that left various positive impressions on the team at SOUL, Paula "The Witty", Elle "The Iron Fist", Meisha "The Canny", Paige "The Bold", and our creative director (Loli Laboureau) come together to bring the October Editorials to life.
During the fashion month of September, the team at SOUL picked up on the ground breaking presence that designer label, Torrid, strictly presented during her Spring/Summer show during New York Fashion Week: curve models. It was no question that big named designers such as Dolce and Gabbana, Anna Sui, and Michael Kors picked up on the idea of body representation as they, alongside Torrid, included an array of curve models. In "Society and Culture". SOUL congratulates the curve models that made power moves during this year's spring/summer New York Fashion Week by highlighting ten curve models that the fashion industry should keep an eye out for.
In conclusion to October's opening letter, we hope that those who have joined us in our odyssey to create a platform for young creatives remain as we continue to grow. We hope to continue to inspire many and add on to the community we have created. For those of you who have followed us in September, we send you our immense gratitude, and for those who have yet to hop on board, our arms are held wide open.
