With intense enthusiasm, Paula Neito enchants SOUL at their photoshoot in the Bronx. The Colombian native is a delight to work with as she gracefully transitions from pose to pose, enjoying herself the entire time. Her energy is contagious and she soon has the entire SOUL staff laughing alongside her. Nonetheless, she remains composed, emitting confidence that only comes with years of modeling experience.
Paula’s androgynous outfit walks the line between playful and mature. Cropped brown pants coupled with a tonal checkered turtleneck and black combat boots give Paula a sense of maturity. All statement pieces in their own right, the garments flow together to form a cohesive collection of subtle colors. The addition of a muted, yellow puffer jacket brings a colorful touch to the look. This piece singlehandedly changes the entire mood of the ensemble as it's silhouette and color have a fun, mischievous element. But at the same time, the jacket further compliments the color scheme while adding a quirky edge that leaves a strong impression.
Originally from Barranquilla, Colombia, Paula has worked vigorously to get her work visa and to make it to New York Fashion Week. She has accomplished much since the start of her career in 2014, from walking in the esteemed Plataforma K runway in her home city to winning the “Most Sought After Female Model” award in the 2015 IMTA competition. On set she casually cracks jokes and describes her passion for personal fitness and her job working for Moda Operandi. As of now, she has achieved everything she has wanted to, including moving to NYC, but it is clear that Paula will only continue to succeed at everything she sets out to do.
